DESCRIPTION
French school of the XVIII century.
"Still life of hunting".
Oil on panel.
It has two cracks.
Measurements: 62 x 45.5 cm, 90 x 73.5 cm (frame).
Laterally, modeling the forms with smoothness and highlighting the texture of the plumage, treated with a loose but effective brushstroke, capable of suggesting volume and matter without resorting to excessive detail.
The composition is articulated around a descending diagonal that brings dynamism to the scene, breaking the rigidity of the vertical arrangement. Warm ochre, brown and golden tones dominate the chromatic palette, creating a dense and enveloping atmosphere. The background, worked with superimposed layers of color, lacks spatial definition, which helps to isolate the figures and emphasize their almost sculptural presence. Inscribed within the French school of the eighteenth century close to models such as those of the master Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin.
