This painting represents a mountainous landscape with a serene lake, conceived within the tradition of the romantic and sublime landscape.

The composition opens on a wide horizon, dominated by a large luminous sky that occupies much of the canvas and tinges the whole of a majestic atmosphere. In the distance, imposing mountains rise up, whose snow-capped peaks contrast with the warmer and greener tones of the foreground, creating a sense of depth and natural grandeur.
