Identified as an outstanding landscape painter, Mas y Carrasco began his public recognition in 1881 when he obtained an honorable mention in the exhibition of the Ateneo Casino of Valencia with his work Un país. Throughout his career, his landscapes were common in the commercial establishments of Valencia, consolidating his presence in the regional art market of the time. In addition to his facet as a landscape painter, he cultivated the portrait genre, highlighting his Portrait of Salvador Albacete y Albert, which currently belongs to the Collection of the Bank of Spain. Although biographical information on his figure is limited in old sources, the records of exhibitions and press of his time place him as a relevant artist of the end of the century in Spain.
