The Toledo painter Francisco Rojas studied at the Toledo School of Art, where he later became a professor between 1964 and 2002, and furthered his studies at the Superior Schools of Fine Arts of Santa Isabel de Hungría (Seville) and San Fernando (Madrid). Founder of the Tolmo Group, a benchmark of contemporary art in Castilla-La Mancha, Rojas also participated in the creation of the Toledo Museum of Contemporary Outdoor Sculpture, a project that never materialized. He began to make himself known in the mid-sixties in Toledo and Madrid, and since then he has held exhibitions in outstanding galleries and museums throughout Spain, as well as participating in the Arco, Art Madrid and De Arte fairs in Madrid, Art Miami in the United States, Basel in Switzerland and the Fiac in Paris. He has also shown his work in galleries in Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil and Japan.
