Argentinean painter, sculptor and engraver based in Mallorca since 1974, Horacio Sapere held his first exhibition in 1975 at the Ariel gallery in Palma. Since then he has been present in galleries all over the island, both in group and solo exhibitions. In 1980 he made the international leap and held a solo exhibition in Cairo. In 1985 he also exhibited in two galleries in Vienna, that same year he took part in ART 16'85 in Basel, and in 1986 he took part in the ARCO fair in Madrid. From these years onwards he exhibited individually in Spain, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Basel, the United States, Canada, Argentina and Portugal, and also carried out important projects in Palma, such as the "Project on fuselage of 737" at the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation (1994), which in 1995 was also shown at the University of Ulm, in Germany. As part of group shows, Sapere's work will also be present in exhibitions in Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom and France, the most recent being "Concepts", at the Cervantes Institute in Vienna (2011) and "De paso en la tierra", at the Institut Français, touring France (2012). He is currently represented in public and private collections in Spain and abroad.
