BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
ALFONSO ALZAMORA (Barcelona, 1951).
Untitled, 1997.
Pair of oil paintings on paper adhered to canvas.
Signed and dated on the back.
Alfonso Alzamora began his artistic career focused on painting, which progressively alternated with sculpture. He uses concepts of double meaning, apparently opposite elements that provoke reflections from the absence. Through the rationality and symmetry of geometric structures full of indeterminate and infinite concepts that take shape in spaces such as the hole or the staircase; vital metaphor that connects the visible part with the ethereal lack woven in the void. His work becomes poetic, a link between the baroque idea of eternity and the minimalist accuracy of the cube, in search of the sensitive aspect of things. He is represented at the Vila Casas Foundation.
