This luminous view of Sesimbra, locality of Portugal, drinks from the post-impressionist Cézannian roots. At the formal level, the painter constructs the landscape based on a clear and rigorous drawing, which defines clear and clean vanishing lines, whose rotundity seems to order the space, subduing and domesticating the scene from the houses on the right to the sea view on the left. On the other hand, the light, apparently uniform (violent hallmarks are avoided), points out the different planes that follow each other in parallel, opening from the foreground to both sides, reflecting with naturalism and subtlety the changes of light.
