Rivera Bagur is a referent of the naïf art and of the Majorcan plastic informalism within the group Tago (Palma, 1959-1964). Self-taught, during his first period he opted for expressionism (1943/1944), reflecting in his drawings his experiences in the Ebro front, Extremadura and the Blue Division, the horrors of the war and the environment. In the 50's he experimented with realism to end up in naïf art. During his naïf period (1959-1999) he worked with the photographer Ernst Ehrenfeld. In 1954 he had his first individual exhibition in "Galeries Danús" in Palma. In 1961 he had his first exhibition abroad (Chicago) and later exhibited internationally. His work can be found in the Reina Sofia in Madrid, the Frans Hals Museum in Holland, the Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art (Madrid) and the Museum of Naïf Painting de l'Ille du France (Paris) among others.
