Barcelona painter Jordi Pallarés began his training with Joan Montcada and Carmen Cepero at La Llotja School in his hometown, and later graduated in Fine Arts in 1987. In 1990 he held his first solo exhibition at the Lassaletta Gallery, thus initiating an important creative and exhibition career throughout Spain. That same year he created "Intrusismo", explained in his manifesto, and left behind the phantasmagoric, Goyaesque and carnal expressionism of his first period to enter into pure abstraction. He is currently represented at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, among other outstanding collections.
