Adrià Ruera Soriano (was a self-taught painter whose artistic career developed mainly in Catalonia and the south of France. Throughout his career, he participated in several solo exhibitions, as well as group shows, among which the annual salons of the Royal Artistic Circle of Barcelona in the late 1980s stand out.
Despite remaining relatively far from the recognition of the general public, his work reveals an artistic personality marked by the gestural freedom of his brushstroke, expressive intensity and an overflowing imagination. Ruera Soriano distinguished himself especially for his exploration of dreamlike themes, in which he captured interior universes of remarkable visual strength. He was also known for his meticulous dedication to the pictorial process, personally elaborating his pigments by means of his own procedures that gave his works a unique texture and chromatic vivacity.
