Maria Luisa Palop was a Spanish painter born in 1900 and died in 1973, linked to the Valencian artistic scene of the first half of the twentieth century. She trained at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia, where she developed a solid academic foundation at a time of great cultural vitality. His work was marked by an interest in light and color, with influences of post-impressionism and a special sensitivity towards landscapes and Mediterranean nature. He participated in official exhibitions of his time, such as the National Exhibition of Fine Arts of 1934, which evidences his recognition within the artistic circles of the time. Although today her figure is little known, María Luisa Palop represents a generation of women artists who contributed in a discreet but significant way to the Spanish painting of the twentieth century.
