Trained with Puig Perucho and in the Academy of Fine Arts of Sabadell, with Mayoral and Alsina, Rosendo González completed his studies in Barcelona, in the School of La Lonja and in the sessions of the Royal Artistic Circle and Sant Lluc. Little given to exhibit individually, he participated in the exhibitions of the Augusta Gallery, as well as in other official ones, being awarded in the National of Barcelona in 1944. In spite of being little given to organize personal exhibitions, his work spread throughout Spain, Paris, Brussels, San Francisco, New York and Toronto. He worked mainly with figures and portraits, although he also dealt with landscapes. A great colorist, his painting, extremely sensitive, is dominated by technique. His main characteristics were the construction and volume, as well as a chiaroscuro determined by a great wealth of wisely administered lights.
