DESCRIPTION
ÑACO FABRÉ (Palma de Mallorca, 1965).
"Espais oberts".
Oil on canvas.
Signed on front and back, titled on the back.
Measurements: 100 x 100 cm.
Representative work of the abstract and atmospheric language of Ñaco Fabré, in which the artist develops a painting based on the exploration of space, matter and visual memory. The composition is articulated as an open field, without center or hierarchy, where forms emerge and dissolve organically.
The pictorial surface is constructed from superimposed glazes, transparencies and eroded areas, which generate a sense of depth and temporality. The chromatic palette, dominated by grayish blues, veiled whites and soft earths, refers to interior landscapes and open spaces, both physical and mental, in line with the title of the work.
A work of great subtlety, which clearly reflects Fabré's research into pictorial space and perception, and which is especially attractive to collectors interested in contemporary abstraction with Mediterranean roots.
Ñaco Fabré began his training at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios Artísticos de Palma, which he later expanded with trips to London, Venice and Paris. His work has been exhibited in Palma, Madrid, Bordeaux, Cologne, among other cities. He has been awarded the City of Palma Prize (2000) and in 2008 he was appointed member of the Reial Acadèmia de Belles Arts de Sant Sebastià de Palma.
