Vicente Pérez Bueno was a Spanish painter whose career developed outside traditional academic training. Self-taught by vocation, he built his own plastic language based on formal simplicity, spontaneity and a direct look at reality, features that place him within the field of Spanish naïf art.
His work is characterized by an intuitive representation of the world, in which perspective and proportions respond more to an expressive logic than to academic norms. The compositions, figurative and narrative in nature, are based on the use of clear and defined colors, transmitting a sense of closeness, balance and serenity.
Throughout his production, Pérez Bueno maintained a stylistic coherence that reflects an honest and personal artistic attitude, alien to dominant fashions or currents. His painting proposes a poetic reading of everyday reality, where simplicity becomes an essential value and the main vehicle of communication with the viewer.
