Pau Lluís Fornés Isern began his artistic education linked to the figure of his mother, who worked in an embroidery workshop and also practiced painting. He can be considered a self-taught painter. As a young man he manifested a great skill for drawing and was one of the first to separate himself from the post-impressionist language of local influence that dominated the artistic panorama of Mallorca, his style is highlighted by the "stylized figures, with large eyes and long hands that star in his work, they appear wrapped in a lyrical and fanciful atmosphere, and flowers, fruits and objects typical of still lifes "The classical themes were a constant in his paintings, in addition to an extensive chromatic range. "Oils and acrylics applied on canvas or paper make up the bulk of his work". Multiple and varied influences converge in his work, among which we can highlight that of the masters of the Italian quattrocento, the Flemish primitives, the mannerists of the XVI century or the symbolists.
