In this work, the artist develops a pictorial language of strong symbolic charge, characterized by the superposition of organic forms and signs of almost archaic appearance.

The composition articulates a set of biomorphic figures with soft contours and a certain formal ambiguity. These forms, halfway between the abstract and the evocative, generate an open visual space, where intuition and pictorial construction coexist in balance.

Trained between Edinburgh, the Central School of Art and Design and the Chelsea School of Art in London, Cuddihy developed her career in the British context, linked to institutions such as The London Group and galleries such as Angela Flowers / Flowers East. She participated in relevant group exhibitions such as Summer Show 2 at the Serpentine Gallery (1981), and had solo shows at venues such as The Gallery (London, 1980), Flowers East (1995) or Peer (2003). His career is situated in a line of pictorial research focused on image, sign and matter.
