FABRIZIO RICCARDI (Rome, 1942).

Fabrizio Riccardi was born in Rome in 1942 and trained as an artist in Turin, where he began painting under the tutelage of the master Raffaele Pontecorvo. His career began in the late 1950s, when he participated in amateur exhibitions and received his first recognition. After completing his military service and moving to Florence, where he continued to paint on commission, Riccardi established himself in the world of fantasy painting. His artistic practice focuses mainly on oil painting on panel, employing a surrealist style that reinterprets legends, historical figures and symbols from a personal and visionary perspective. Among his most significant projects is the series dedicated to the "Songes Drolatiques de Pantagruel", inspired by the sketches of François Rabelais, in which he interprets strange and timeless characters with a caricatural and theatrical approach. Throughout his long career, Riccardi has exhibited in numerous international galleries, collaborating with dealers and gallery owners in Europe, America and French-speaking Africa. His work has received significant recognition, including medals at the Salon des Artistes Français and biennials in France. Despite having developed an international network, the artist defines himself mainly as an interpreter of his own dreams, without aspiring to become a master of any particular artistic movement.
His painting is distinguished by the use of traditional techniques applied to fantastic and symbolic themes, often with irony and attention to detail. Fabrizio Riccardi continues to live and work in Turin, keeping alive his passion for visual storytelling and the dialogue between art and imagination.
