A self-taught painter, Verges Grau held his first individual exhibition in Vic, in 1970, and since then he has held others in other parts of Spain, as well as in France, the United Kingdom and Belgium. A member of the Société des Lettres et des Sciences de Paris since 1984, an institution that awarded him its "Vermeil" Medal in 1985, he was awarded the First Prize for Abstract Art at the I Biennale Internationale de Lyon (1984). He is currently represented in the FC Barcelona Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Historical Art of California, the Museum of Valladolid and the Greenpeace, La Vanguadia and Edgar Morin collections.
