An engineer and painter, Cisquella held his first solo exhibition at the Alfonso Alcolea Gallery in Barcelona in 1989, and since then has held solo exhibitions in various Spanish cities, as well as in New York, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Carmel (California), and Saint Helena (California). He has also participated in group exhibitions in Spain, the United States, Belgium, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, as well as in international art fairs such as Art Miami, Art Chicago, the San Francisco International Art Expo, Art Cologne, Merrill Lynch Arte-Americas, and Art Madrid. Since 1999, his work has garnered recognition from critics and the public, first in Catalonia and later throughout the rest of Spain, as well as in France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, where in 2000 he was selected for the “New European Artists” exhibition organized by Sotheby’s in Amsterdam. Cisquella is currently represented by the Fundació Vila Casas, as well as in numerous private collections both in Spain and abroad.
