Vicente Sánchez Navarro is one of the classic artists in the bullfighting genre. His work reflects a loose, sketchy, and luminous style, based on a distinctly Impressionist technique. His paintings immortalize fleeting moments from bullfights, bull runs, or seascapes, captured with immediacy and speed. He contributed to various bullfighting magazines, in which he published both reproductions of his canvases as well as covers and ink illustrations. He held several solo exhibitions of his work, such as the one held at the Murillo Art Gallery in Madrid in 1977, and participated in various group exhibitions, notably the one organized by the Trazos Gallery in the same city in 1985. In January 2009, a tribute evening was held in his honor at the Ateneo de Alicante.
