Edmund Valladares is an Argentine visual artist, sculptor, filmmaker, and writer whose work is characterized by intense expressiveness and a strong commitment to the human condition. Trained at the Prilidiano Pueyrredón and Ernesto de la Cárcova National Schools of Fine Arts, he was a student of Antonio Berni, Alfredo Bigatti, and Lino Enea Spilimbergo. Throughout his career, he developed a body of work that combines influences from Expressionism, Surrealism, and figurative art, addressing social, cultural, and literary themes. In addition to his work as a painter and sculptor, he worked in the field of film, collaborating with Luis Buñuel during his stay in Paris, and directed several feature films and documentaries. His career has been recognized with numerous awards in Argentina and internationally, establishing him as a leading figure in contemporary Argentine art.
