This work by Zush unfolds a universe populated by biomorphic forms, hybrid creatures, and organic-looking symbols, characteristic of his personal imagination. The composition is organized like a sort of mind map, where fish, faces, floating organisms, and metamorphic figures coexist in an open space, without a clear narrative hierarchy—closer to dreams, automatism, and visual writing than to traditional representation.

The artist combines line, mark, and color with great freedom, alternating areas of nervous drawing with thickly outlined forms and warm, black, and reddish pigments. The work is fully immersed in Zush’s artistic language, based on the creation of a world of his own—Evrugo Mental State—in which art, identity, alphabet, symbol, and fiction merge. Each figure seems to function as a sign within a private system, halfway between the playful, the ritual, and the visionary.

Zush, the stage name of Alberto Porta and later known as Evru, is a singular figure in contemporary Spanish art. His work spans painting, drawing, writing, performance, and the construction of his own mental universes. He has exhibited at institutions such as MACBA, the Reina Sofía Museum, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and MoMA in New York, and his work is included in major public and private collections.
