In “Centennial Gaze,” Tatia Bogveli creates an abstraction of intense materiality in which gesture and color are organized around a large circular structure. This core, built up through successive layers of orange, ochre, black, and gold, acts as the composition’s center of gravity and suggests—without fully defining it—the presence of an eye or a constantly expanding form.

The artist works the surface using impasto, smudges, splatters, and chromatic overlays that reveal the creative process itself. The warm tones of the central circle are marked by contrast with blues, violets, and blacks, while golden accents introduce reflections and variations in texture.
