This work arises from the collaboration between the Chilean artist Manuel Terán and Alberto Cavazos. Both authors have completely different styles that come together in this work where the personality of each one is evident, but from a harmonious perspective in which the two styles coexist pictorially. The figures of this Circo y lluvia, have the fluid lines of Cavazos' characters, but maintain the realism of Terán, as well as the background where several circus tents can be appreciated, aesthetically reminiscent of the polished finishes of the Chilean artist.
Terán is a Chilean artist living in Spain. With a degree in Fine Arts, Manuel Terán has developed his creative work in the field of plastic arts and new technologies applied to art. Since he became known in 1995 at the Salón de Otoño del Círculo de Bellas Artes in Santiago de Chile, he has held solo exhibitions and participated in group shows and fairs in Latin America and Europe. He has received awards such as the Real Academia de San Carlos de Valencia (2004).
Mexican painter and sculptor, Alberto Cavazos began his training at the Escuela de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Nuevo León, and later completed it at the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Luis Potosí, finally specializing in engraving at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Madrid. Since his debut in 1959, Cavazos has exhibited his work in Latin America, the United States, Germany and Spain, and has participated in various competitions, winning among others the First Prize at the November Art Salon in Acapulco (1980, 1987).
