"Trionfo di Primavera" brings together two recurring motifs in Valeria Pesce’s painting: the female figure and exuberant nature, understood as a manifestation of vitality. The artist constructs an allegorical image in which flowers, leaves, butterflies, and birds spill out from the protagonist’s hairstyle, transforming the portrait into a visual celebration of seasonal rebirth.

The composition combines precise figuration with a marked chromatic freedom. Against the bluish-green background, the range of pinks, reds, violets, and ochres draws attention to the face and, especially, to the intricate floral headdress. Pesce places special emphasis on the modeling of each element but avoids strict naturalism: the differences in scale and the ornamental accumulation create a deliberately imaginative atmosphere, reminiscent of an iconography of abundance and fertility.

Valeria Pesce studied graphic design in Cagliari and New York and, after living in Milan, settled in Barcelona in 1991, where she lives and works. Her work, created primarily in oil and acrylic, revolves around figurative art with an intense chromatic dimension, with a special focus on the body, nature, and perception. She has exhibited in Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Slovenia, and her work is included in private collections in Europe, the United States, Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.
