Joan Pol is a self-taught artist whose work is situated between modern expressionism and lyrical abstraction. Outstanding exhibitions:2001-2022: Participation in collective exhibitions together with Ferran Pizá, Felip Caldés, Benàsser-Colom, Andrés Cimas, among others. Biennial of Pollensa.Biennial of Venice.2023: Individual exhibition La Mar de Texturas, Ca'n Torro Gallery. 2024: Rebel-lió al Camp, group exhibition at Espai Lleo Vermell, with Joan Llaneras. Lisbon Art Fair, edition 2024. 2024: Exhibition at Villa Dalia with Evita Medina. His works are in private collections in the United Kingdom, Germany, Mallorca and Sydney, as well as in a museum of abstract art in Shanghai (China). His pictorial language was born during his stays in Africa, India, Nepal and Scotland, Joan Pol developed an aesthetic sensibility linked to cultural diversity, rituals, connection with nature and spiritual symbolism. These experiences deeply enriched his visual imaginary and are reflected in his compositions charged with transcendental meaning. She works with mixed and informal techniques, exploring textures with natural materials, textiles, fibers, spray or dripping, generating a deeply sensorial, emotional and symbolic work. His essential palette is built from blue, ocher, white and yellow, also harmonizing purple and beige, reminiscent of Balearic esparto grass, forming a chromatic discourse that suggests calm, strength, silence and transformation. Each work is an archeology of the soul, his work develops as a continuous dialogue between materiality, absence and resonance. He seeks to create suspended atmospheres where the pictorial gesture intertwines with musical structures, poetic silence and oriental philosophy. These compositions invite introspection and propose sensorial spaces where time is diluted. His work, focused on painting but also extended to photographic exploration, has been recognized by curators and art professionals for its ability to unite symbolism and matter, and for building emotional landscapes charged with poetic sensibility. Each piece is a visual meditation, a subtle architecture of the soul.
