"Current of desire" prioritizes the gesture, the energy of the stroke and the chromatic superimposition over any figurative reference. The composition, of expansive structure and without central axis, drives a continuous and dynamic look along the entire surface.

The color articulates the tension of the work: the deep blues provide containment and stability, in contrast to the more intense and expressive reds, oranges and violets above, generating a dialogue between order and chaos. The line, applied in an automatic and multidirectional way, introduces rhythm, fragmentation and makes visible the physical process of the pictorial act.

Miroslav Spadrna is a Czech painter whose work moves between abstraction and figuration, generating an intense and deeply sensorial visual experience. Self-taught in his beginnings, before studying Fine Arts he had already achieved international projection: at the age of 25 his work was marketed in Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries.

His painting is characterized by the use of dense brushstrokes in impasto, which generate textured surfaces of great expressive force. His palette, rich and vibrant, combines blues, greens and earth tones with intense accents, while light acts as the emotional axis of the composition. Thematically, he explores the symbiotic relationship between human beings and nature, understanding art as a space of absolute freedom and connection with the essence of life.

Spadrna has been recognized with the European Artist Award in 2023 in Milan and was appointed Coordinator of Art and Painting in the Czech Republic in 2021. He has participated in group exhibitions in Spain, including Berja (Andalusia, 2023), and held an artist residency in Garachico, Canary Islands, in 1997. Her work has received positive reviews and has been published in various media. Since April 2024, he has been a member of the Galería de Arte Visual Chicote (Spain).
