This monumental oil painting functions as a "two-in-one" experience: under natural light, we witness a surreal invasion of Paris; under UV light, the hidden truth comes to light: the word "WAR" emerges, transforming the composition into a blunt political statement.

The work explores the profound detachment of Western society in the face of global crises. As we walk through the Jardin des Tuileries with our flat white or matcha latte in hand, the world explodes only a few miles away. The artist criticizes this apathy: the way we consume tragedy as if it were distant, pixelated entertainment.

Inspired by the analytical philosophy of René Descartes, the artist uses the aesthetics of "Space Invaders" and pixelated mosaics to represent how we fragment our reality. By dividing the world into isolated parts, we lose sight of the Whole. This work reminds us that we live in an interconnected whole: a "Totality" (Hegelian) where each conflict, however distant it may seem, vibrates through the whole fabric of our existence.

Trained in Art and Philosophy between the University of Buenos Aires and the University Paris VIII, Ezequiel Martinez Llaser's work is based on a solid theoretical foundation that dialogues with a precise and demanding pictorial technique.

His work has been presented in numerous international contexts, highlighting his continued participation in the MEAM Museum in Barcelona through several editions of The MEAM Hall, as well as in the Salon International du Portrait at the Bastille Design Center in Paris and in the XIII Biennale of Florence at the Fortezza da Basso. He has also exhibited in spaces such as Galerie Sonia Monti in Paris, Galerie Azur in Madrid, Galerie Art Course in Strasbourg and Espace 6B in Paris, where his project En otro poder was selected as the winner.
