Work belonging to the “After Miró” series, in which Lemagne’83 develops a language of signs, flat colors, and free forms in dialogue with the avant-garde movements of the 20th century. In “Los Códigos Animistas,” the composition unfolds as a symbolic landscape inhabited by human figures, animals, celestial bodies, houses, trees, and graphic elements that seem to form part of a unique visual alphabet.

The work combines references to abstract surrealism, African pictography, cave paintings, and the imagery of Joan Miró. The black lines, circles, dots, moons, suns, and geometric shapes create a dynamic and expansive scene, where each element functions as an autonomous sign and, at the same time, as part of an open narrative.
