Peragón combines figurative elements with surrealist techniques. The distortion of the body, the white mask that partially covers the face, and the presence of organic and mechanical forms create an unsettling atmosphere, situated between physical vulnerability and imaginary transformation. The door-window functions as a threshold to an indeterminate space, a metaphor for an alternative reality or the expansion of consciousness.

The color palette is built from blues, greens, pinks, and earthy tones, applied with visible, expressive brushstrokes. The background, rendered through broad areas of color, has hallmarks of linear definition for the figure and reinforces the sense of unreality. The work thus explores dreams as a realm of escape and metamorphosis, where the body becomes a starting point for accessing a potentially infinite dimension.

A painter, printmaker, and poet, Sergi Peragón earned a diploma in jewelry design, metal engraving, and gemstone setting from the Official Workshop School of the Catalan Federation of Jewelers and Goldsmiths (1993). The following year, he held his first exhibition in Barcelona, and since then he has regularly exhibited in various galleries and art centers not only in Spain but also in Italy. He even went on to open his own art gallery in 2009. Among his most recent exhibitions, those held in 2011 at the Municipal Museum of Albacete and at the Alba Gallery in Ferrara (Italy) are particularly noteworthy. Much of his work is held by a wide range of collectors, as well as by institutions such as the Jordi Rodríguez-Amat Foundation.
