In "Last Sunflower," Miroslav Spadrna transforms a wilted flower into a symbol of permanence and transformation. Hovering above an abstract landscape of deep blues, reflections, and luminous architecture, the sunflower ceases to represent the end of a cycle and instead becomes a focal point of resilience and memory.

The tension between the chromatic intensity of the background and the fragility of the main motif creates an atmosphere of contemplation, where light emerges as a silent presence. The combination of expressive brushstrokes, layers of paint, and transparencies constructs a space that oscillates between the real and the imagined.

Miroslav Spadrna is a Czech painter whose work moves between abstraction and figuration, creating an intense and deeply sensory visual experience. Self-taught in his early years, he had already achieved international recognition before studying fine arts: by the age of 25, his work was being sold in Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries. He was awarded the European Artist Prize in 2023 in Milan and was appointed Coordinator of Art and Painting in the Czech Republic in 2021. He has participated in group exhibitions in Spain, including one in Berja (Andalusia, 2023), and completed an artist residency in Garachico, Canary Islands, in 1997. His work has received positive reviews and has been featured in various media outlets. Since April 2024, he has been a member of the Chicote Visual Art Gallery (Spain).
