FER articulates an abstract language marked by strong gesturality, in which the broad, calligraphic black line organizes the pictorial space through dynamic paths, overlays, and points of tension. Against light backgrounds, splashes of color and splatters introduce rhythmic hallmarks that balance the energy of the brushstroke with areas of greater visual breathing room. The result is a painting that appears direct and spontaneous, though it is underpinned by a careful interplay between gesture, negative space, and color.

Trained at the Córdoba School of Arts and Crafts, Fer is an artist for whom drawing and painting have been second nature since childhood. His career began in the field of pastel portraiture, a period during which he held his first solo exhibition at Distrito. With more than fifteen years of professional experience in tattooing, he now runs his own studio—Fertattoo—in the heart of Córdoba, while continuing to develop his work as a painter. His training under the master Manuel Castillero provided a decisive impetus in refining his technique and constructing his visual narrative.
