In this composition, the material is organized as a space in transformation. Deep blue envelops the scene while red accents burst forth as signs of tension and presence. Light emerges in fragments, not to illuminate, but to reveal what remains submerged. The painting is conceived as a field of tension where matter simultaneously constructs and destabilizes form. The blue acts as an enveloping medium that blurs the boundaries, while the red accents introduce points of intensity that activate the surface. Areas of light emerge in a fragmented manner, hinting at structures that never quite take shape.
Miroslav Spadrna is a Czech painter whose work moves between abstraction and figuration, creating an intense and deeply sensory visual experience. Self-taught in his early years, he had already achieved international recognition before studying fine arts: by the age of 25, his work was being sold in Germany, the Netherlands, and other European countries. He was awarded the European Artist Prize in 2023 in Milan and was appointed Coordinator of Art and Painting in the Czech Republic in 2021. He has participated in group exhibitions in Spain, including one in Berja (Andalusia, 2023), and completed an artist residency in Garachico, Canary Islands, in 1997. His work has received positive reviews and has been featured in various media outlets. Since April 2024, he has been a member of the Chicote Visual Arts Gallery (Spain).
