Set formed by two rectangular trays of sterling silver, with rounded corners and wide decorated wing. Both pieces have embossed and chiseled decoration with vegetal motifs, scrolls, flowers and smooth reserves, following the ornamental taste of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.

The design combines a plain central area, intended for service, with a profusely worked rim that adds visual richness and decorative character. The floral and historicist-inspired ornamentation responds to the usual taste of tableware of circa 1900, intended both for domestic use and for presentation in sideboards or showcases.

The pieces show hallmarks, among them the 916/000 mark, indicating sterling silver, as well as another partially legible hallmark.
