DESCRIPTION
Desk clock; Following models of JACQUES ADNET, Europe, 1950s.
Hand-stitched black leather.

Measurements: 20 x 20 x 7 cm.
Elegant table clock with a marked French mid-century influence, made of hand-stitched black leather, with a structure of pure lines and a refined handcrafted treatment typical of post-war European design. Its geometric composition, of great formal balance, presents a rectangular case with softly rounded corners completely covered in leather. The contrast stitching adds visual rhythm and evokes the famous tradition of leather goods applied to furniture and design objects, associated with figures such as Jacques Adnet and certain productions linked to the French luxury world such as Hermès.
The dial, of minimalist aesthetics, incorporates applied indexes in almond-shaped golden metal and stylized hands, reinforcing its sophisticated and timeless character. The base, raised by discreet cylindrical metal supports, adds visual lightness and underlines its status as a decorative object of high design.
A representative piece of mid-20th century European luxury, where the combination of leather, metal and modern geometry defined a new language of functional elegance and sober sophistication.
