Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Triple Date Moonphase watches are among the most iconic creations of Swiss watchmaking from the 1940s. Their combination of a full calendar and moon phase, housed in an elegantly proportioned case, reflects the high technical standard achieved by the manufacture during a period considered one of the most brilliant in the history of classic watchmaking.
This example, equipped with the renowned caliber 494/A, brings together some of the features most prized by collectors: the balanced layout of the displays, the double windows for the day and month, the central date hand with a red tip, and the moon phase at the six o’clock position. The uniform patina on the dial lends authenticity and enhances the piece’s vintage appeal.
In the watch descriptions, when it states “it works,” it means that the watch is functioning at the time of listing. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. Nor do we guarantee their water resistance, regardless of what is indicated by the manufacturer or the model. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers; that is, we do not use stock photography, and therefore the photographs are considered part of the listing.
