BID HISTORY

DESCRIPTION

CHOPARD Imperiale watch, ref. 8549, serial no. 18068XX.
Made of stainless steel and set with 30 diamonds totaling 2.41 ct. Black dial with Roman numerals at 12 o’clock and hour markers indicated by lines. Openwork sword-shaped hands. Central chronograph hand. Triple sub-dials: one for seconds and two for the chronograph. Date window between 4 and 5 o’clock. Diamond-set bezel. Fluted crown at 3 o’clock flanked by dual pushers for chronograph control. Sapphire crystal. Link bracelet with a hidden integrated folding clasp; both original Chopard components. Automatic movement. It works. Includes a certificate from 2016.
Measurements: 40 mm (case diameter).

Inspired by the majesty of the great historical empires, the prestigious Swiss firm Chopard infuses an aristocratic character into every detail of the Imperiale Chronograph Ref. 8549. The design of its lugs emulates the proportions of classic Roman columns, while its openwork hands recreate royal ceremonial daggers, and its crown features carved amethysts in honor of the color of royalty. This opulent version elevates the concept of luxury by crowning its steel case with a dazzling fixed bezel set with thirty genuine brilliant-cut diamonds.

When the description of a watch states “it works,” it means the watch is functioning. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers; in other words, we do not use stock photography, which is why the photographs are considered part of the listing.
