This tapestry is conceived as a mural work in which the fabric transcends its decorative function to assert itself as an autonomous plastic language, representative of the innovative impulse of Catalan textile art of the period. It follows models by Maria Assumpció Raventós, a key figure in the renovation of tapestry in Catalonia in the field of abstraction.
The composition presents a marked abstract character, articulated by means of stripes, volumes and reliefs that generate a dynamic play between texture and form. A sober chromatic range predominates, based on blues, broken whites, ochres and natural tones, evoking organic and marine landscapes. The use of relief and bangs provides depth and movement, reinforcing the tactile dimension of the work and underlining its material-expressive condition.
