Royal Salute has just introduced this year's release in its annual Polo collection: Royal Salute 21 Year Old Beach Polo Edition.

The release celebrates the game of polo, dubbed the "Sport of Kings." So it seems fitting that Royal Salute, a whisky with majestic origins, continues to honor the sport with this second release in its Polo Collection. The first bottles of Royal Salute were launched to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and the whisky's name comes from 21 Gun Salute. The Beach Polo edition of Royal Salute has been crafted by Royal Salute's director of blending, Sandy Hyslop, and Royal Salute says its character offers "soft peaty tones" and a "smoky flavor." The package features the signature and red helmet of longtime Royal Salute World Polo ambassador and former England polo team captain Malcolm Borwick. The striking blue hue of the porcelain pitcher is designed to recall the blue sky and sea that are typical backdrops for beach polo tournaments.
