Signed and dated in the lower central area.
Measurements: 26.50 x 29.50 cm, 46 x 49 cm (frame).
Todó was formed in Barcelona, in the School of La Lonja, and in 1946 he made his individual debut in the Vinçon room. He participated in the Salones de Octubre and the Salones de Mayo in Barcelona, and in 1952 he won the Rosa Vera engraving prize. Two years later he won the special drawing prize at the Third Jazz Salon, and obtained a scholarship for a study trip to France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Great Britain. He has held several personal exhibitions in Madrid, Paris, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Valencia and Illinois (USA). In 1969 he was appointed professor of painting at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, and during these years he held exhibitions in Cali and Mexico City. As a set designer, he has worked on Xavier Montsalvatge's "Una voz en off" and Joan Oliver's "Bestiario". He has also worked in engraving, monotype and drawing. In 2001 he received the Sant Jordi Cross from the Generalitat de Catalunya, in recognition of his artistic career. Francesc Todó is currently represented at MACBA.
