He studied art at the Hornsey College of Art and the Chelsea School of Art. His work is exhibited in many museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C., Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Stedelijk Museum, and can also be found at the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo of the UNAM in Mexico City.
