Bronze sculpture made by Antonio Coello de Portugal, Madrid artist whose production has focused prominently on equestrian themes. The work reflects the deep anatomical knowledge and sensitivity to the movement that characterize his career, placing it within a contemporary figurative tradition of great technical rigor.
The composition, with a markedly dynamic content, balances the presence of the rider and the horses by means of a fluid linear rhythm that runs longitudinally through the piece. The meticulous modeling, especially in the musculature and in the details of the tack and clothing, reveals a careful execution that combines naturalism and formal elegance.
