Joan Brull Vinyoles creates a scene of a lyrical and symbolist nature, where the landscape becomes a dreamlike space. Beneath a grove of trees in golden and greenish tones, several female figures move forward with a serene, almost choreographed grace, immersed in a misty, twilight atmosphere.

The composition is notable for the verticality of the trees, which envelop the scene and accentuate the sense of seclusion. The soft palette, with veiled pinks, greens, and blues, reinforces the work’s idealized character, closer to a poetic vision of nature than to a realistic depiction. The figures, light and ethereal, evoke the feminine and symbolist universe characteristic of Brull.

Joan Brull Vinyoles trained at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and completed his studies in Paris under Raphaël Collin. After early years linked to realism, history painting, and genre scenes, his work evolved toward an idealistic and symbolist style, characterized by blurred contours, pearlescent tones, and feminine figures with a poetic atmosphere. His work is represented in the Prado Museum, the MNAC, the La Garrotxa Museum, and the Casa Lis Art Nouveau and Art Deco Museum, among others.
