Enric Porta trained in Barcelona and Paris and began exhibiting his works before 1920, participating in exhibitions at such prominent venues as Barcelona City Hall. In the years that followed, he participated in various art salons and held solo exhibitions in Barcelona at the galleries of the Grupo de Arte Escolà and the Syra Gallery. Focusing primarily on the female figure, landscapes, and still lifes, he developed a realistic style characterized by his superb draftsmanship and a highly personal, dense, and precise brushstroke.
