Bodegas Artadi offers us this Viña el Pisón 2010, a red wine elaborated in DO Rioja that includes 2010 Tempranillo and has an alcoholic content of 14.5º. In professional magazines it has been rated by Robert Parker with a score of 98. Aged for 15 months in new French oak barrels. The wine has an intense ruby red color, with mineral and fruity notes on the nose and an elegant, deep, enveloping palate.

Viña El Pisón is located in Laguardia, facing southwest, and produces a mythical wine at times, whose personality and identity are closely linked to its own environment. It is a vineyard of 2.4 hectares, nestled in a small depression protected by a natural stone barrier, and sits on limestone and sandstone soil. Its clay-limestone soil allows the vineyard to develop in a contained manner, with an adjusted water and mineral regulation during the whole vegetative cycle. Viña El Pisón wine is made from 98% Tempranillo, and 2% Graciano and Garnacha. Vinification in oak vats and malolactic fermentation in barrels, aged for twenty months in 100% new barrels.
