The Alma bag traces its origins to an Art Deco-inspired design created in 1934 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, initially known as the Squire. After several iterations, it officially adopted the name Alma in 1992, in reference to the Parisian square Place de l’Alma. In 2010, the house introduced the BB version, a compact reinterpretation that retains the characteristic domed silhouette, the Toron handles, and the double-zip closure with a padlock and keys. Its removable and adjustable shoulder strap adds versatility to this iconic design, which combines the tradition of French leather goods with an elegant aesthetic.
