Jean Eugène Baffier (Neuvy-le-Barrois, 1851–Paris, 1920) was a French sculptor and writer. He first worked as a stonemason on the cathedral’s restoration project, then pursued a career as a sculptor in Paris. He became known for his bronze figurines (The Grape Harvester—Le Vigneron, The Reaper—Le Faucheur, The Old Man—Le Vielleux) and pewter pieces (vases, candelabras, tableware), decorated with plant motifs.
