Set against a backdrop of classic elegance and a decadent atmosphere, a nude woman and a Dalmatian take center stage in a composition with a distinctly painterly inspiration, where each element seems to be part of a story that remains untold. The serenity of the female figure is a hallmark of the scene, contrasting with the watchful presence of the animal and introducing a subtle tension into a seemingly motionless scene. The ornate richness of the setting and the treatment of light reinforce its theatrical and enigmatic character. Between the beauty of the staged scene and the uncertainty of what is sensed, “Instinct” draws its strength from a deliberate ambiguity. An image where nothing seems random, and yet no single interpretation prevails over the others.
Ángel Marín has been pursuing his career in photography since 2005. Trained in photography and digital image processing at IDEP Barcelona, he has cultivated an essentially self-taught approach. His experience spans artistic, editorial, interior, and portrait photography, with projects for Casa Decor, luxury hotels, specialized publications, and music album covers. His work has been featured in several photography exhibitions. He views photography as a realm of freedom where emotion and the gaze converge to shape his inner universe. His work, unconstrained by a single style, explores the beauty of the unexpected, abstraction, and the multiple interpretations of reality. Straddling intuition and deliberate composition, his artistic quest consists of discovering what transcends the obvious, transforming the photographic moment into a personal expression capable of suggesting, moving, and inviting interpretation.
