Water jug made of enameled copper using the cloisonné technique, in which the enamel is applied to recessed compartments or to raised metal strips that form the outline of the design. This technique involves depositing the vitreous enamel paste into recessed compartments or compartments formed by metal strips that, in relief, outline the design’s silhouette.
The city of Canton was one of the most important centers of ceramic production in China. Styles such as the Rosa Family marked a turning point in the arts and propelled the city of Canton to rapid commercial prominence.
