DESCRIPTION
Following models of LOUIS DIERRA (United States, active in 1939).
Pair of chairs, 1980.
FIAM Italy glass.
In good condition.
Measurements: 70 x 56 x 44 cm.
Pair of glass-framed chairs by FIAM Italy, designed in the 1980s and based on earlier concepts by Louis Dierra, an innovator of modern furniture known for his exploration of transparent materials and minimalist approach.
Its curved glass structure creates a continuous, sculptural silhouette, reinforced only with discreet fixings that keep the purity of the design intact. The molded black seat cushion brings precise visual contrast and unexpectedly practical comfort.
The transparency of the frame allows light to pass through, giving the chairs a light, almost ethereal presence in any space. They are an outstanding example of Italian experimentation in glass: a balance of technical and aesthetic prowess that reflects the avant-garde vision of their time.
